Statement as of 3:40 PM EST on February 8, 2012

... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 10 PM EST this
evening...

* locations... portions of northeast Maryland and southeast
Pennsylvania.

* Hazard types... snow.

* Accumulations... 1 to 2 inches of snow.

* Timing... snow will continue into the evening commute. The snow
will fall with varying intensity before tapering off later this
evening.

* Impacts... travel will become slick later this afternoon and
this evening. Conditions will worse when the snow falls more
heavily... and snow covered roads are possible during the
evening commute.

* Winds... northeast up to 5 mph.

* Temperatures... in the lower 30s.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet... or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving.
