High Surf Advisory
Statement as of 2:40 am PST on February 11, 2012

... High surf advisory now in effect until 4 PM PST Sunday...

* surf... surf will range from 4 to 7 feet with local Max sets to 8
feet through this evening. Sets to 7 feet will linger through
noon on Sunday morning before subsiding Sunday afternoon. The
largest surf will be on west to northwest facing beaches.

* Impacts: large surf creates a high risk of rip currents and a
risk of sneaker waves. Ocean activities will be potentially
dangerous for anyone.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A high surf advisory means that high surf will affect beaches in
the advisory area... producing rip currents and localized beach
erosion.
