... Wind Chill Advisory remains in effect from 1 am EST /midnight
CST/ to 10 am EST /9 am CST/ Sunday...

* wind chill values... by daybreak Sunday... minimum wind chill
readings will be 16 to 18 degrees across southeast Alabama
rising modestly to the southeast to 18 to 20 degrees across much
of northwest Florida.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Wind Chill Advisory means that very cold air and strong winds
will combine to generate low wind chills. This could lead to
hypothermia if precautions are not taken. If you venture
outdoors... consider wearing a hat and gloves.

Statement as of 1:36 PM CST on February 11, 2012/

... Wind Advisory now in effect until 8 PM EST /7 PM CST/ this
evening...

... Hard freeze watch remains in effect from Sunday evening
through Monday morning...

* timing... gusty winds will continue this afternoon and diminish
this evening.

* Winds... sustained 20 to 25 mph with gusts to 30 to 35 mph during
the afternoon and subsiding to 10 mph or less this evening.

* Temperature... minimum temperatures will be 26 to 31 degrees by
daybreak Sunday with total freeze durations of up to 8 hours.
A hard freeze with even colder temperatures is expected Sunday
night into Monday morning.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Wind Advisory means that sustained winds or frequent gusts of
26 to 39 mph are expected. Winds this strong can make driving
difficult... especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra
caution. Conditions will also be hazardous on area lakes.

A hard freeze watch means sub-freezing temperatures are possible.
These conditions could kill crops and other sensitive vegetation.

The National Weather Service in Tallahassee has issued a Fire
Weather Watch... which is in effect from Monday morning through
Monday evening.

* Wind... northwest 15 to 20 mph with higher gusts today and
southeast around 5 mph on Monday.

* Humidity... minimum values 25 to 30 percent today... and 19 to 32
percent on Monday.

* Impacts... any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
Outdoor burning is not recommended.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now... or will shortly. Low relative humidity
will enhance fire growth potential.

A Fire Weather Watch means that critical fire weather conditions
are possible. Listen for later forecasts and possible red flag
warnings.
