... Lake Wind Advisory remains in effect from 11 am Saturday to
4 am EST Sunday...

A lake Wind Advisory remains in effect from 11 am Saturday to
4 am EST Sunday.

* Locations: the midlands of South Carolina and the central
Savannah River area of Georgia.

* Hazards: strong winds.

* Winds: west winds 15 to 20 knots... becoming northwest 20 to 25
knots. Gusts as high as near 30 knots at times.

* Timing: from midday Saturday through late Saturday night.

* Impacts: increasing winds will make conditions difficult for
small craft on the lake.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A lake Wind Advisory indicates that winds will cause rough chop
on area lakes. Small boats and personal watercraft will be
especially prone to capsizing.

... Fire Weather Watch remains in effect Saturday afternoon...

A Fire Weather Watch remains in effect Saturday afternoon.

* Affected area... midlands of South Carolina and the central
Savannah River area of Georgia.

* Winds... west to northwest 20 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.

* Timing... from 12 PM to 6 PM EST Saturday.

* Relative humidity... as low as 20 to 24 percent.

* Temperatures... highs mostly in the lower and middle 50s.

* Impacts... any fires may quickly spread and grow out of
control. Fires may also easily ignite due to Sparks and
discarded smoking material.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Fire Weather Watch means critical fire weather conditions are
forecast to develop. Continue to monitor the latest forecasts and
be prepared for possible red flag warnings from the National
Weather Service in Columbia. Please advise the appropriate
officials and fire crews in the field of this Fire Weather Watch.
