Wind Chill Advisory
Statement as of 9:50 PM CST on February 10, 2012

... Wind Chill Advisory remains in effect until 8 am CST
Saturday...

* short term trends... very cold temperatures will continue to
filter into the state and overnight low temperatures will drop
to below zero across west central to northwest Iowa... especially
across snow covered areas.

* Winds... a brisk north wind at 10 to 20 mph will persist through
Saturday morning.

* Impacts... wind chill readings are likely to range from 20 to 25
degrees below zero into the early morning hours Saturday.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Wind Chill Advisory means that very cold air and wind will
combine to generate low wind chills. This will result in frost
bite and lead to hypothermia if precautions are not taken. If
you must venture outdoors... make sure you wear a hat and gloves.
