... Forecast flooding increased from minor to moderate severity...
the Flood Warning continues for
the Des Moines River at Ottumwa.
* Until further notice... or the warning is cancelled.
* At 8:00 am Saturday the stage was 11.9 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 10.0 feet. Moderate flood stage is 12.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 12.1 feet by
Saturday evening. Additional rises may be possible thereafter... as
the river will remain above flood stage through next week.
