Winter Weather Advisory
Statement as of 3:52 PM EST on February 10, 2012

... Winter Weather Advisory now in effect until 7 PM EST
Saturday...

The Winter Weather Advisory is now in effect until 7 PM EST
Saturday.

* Snow will overspread the area this evening. The snow may be briefly
heavy tonight before tapering late. Snow showers are then expected
to develop again Saturday morning... with additional accumulating
snow continuing into early afternoon.

* A total of 1 to 2 inches of snow is expected on average... with the
lightest amounts seen west of Interstate 75. Localized totals
approaching 3 inches will be possible on the ridgetops.

* Slick snow covered roads are expected to develop rapidly tonight.
Temperatures will fall quickly tonight and remain below freezing on
Saturday. Snow will also reduce visibility to under one mile at
times tonight and Saturday. Travel may become very hazardous.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow will
cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered
roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while driving.
