... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 5 am MST
Saturday...

A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 5 am MST
Saturday.

* Timing and main impact: light snow will continue over central
and southwest Montana tonight with greatest snowfall
accumulations in Lewis And Clark... Jefferson... Broadwater and
northern Gallatin counties... where snowfall rates up to a half
inch per hour will occur this evening.

* Snow accumulations: total snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches
are expected at lower elevations... with 4 to 8 inches in the
mountains.

* Visibility: visibilities will be reduced to less than one
mile at times in areas of falling snow.

* Other impacts: several multiple vehicle accidents have already
been reported this evening despite snowfall amounts of only one
to two inches. Untreated roadways will remain snow or ice
covered and very hazardous through Saturday morning... especially
in Lewis And Clark... Jefferson... boradwater and Gallatin
counties.

* Locations affected include: much of central and southwest
Montana.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow
will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow
covered roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving.
