Wind Advisory
Statement as of 4:08 am EST on January 7, 2009

... Wind Advisory in effect from 9 am this morning to midnight EST
tonight...

The National Weather Service in Newport/Morehead City has issued
a Wind Advisory... which is in effect from 9 am this morning to
midnight EST tonight.

Southwest winds will increase to 25 to 35 mph this morning with
gusts as high as 50 mph possible as a strong cold front
approaches eastern North Carolina. Winds will shift to the west as
the front moves across area late this afternoon with strong gusts
continuing this evening.

A Wind Advisory means that winds of 31 to 39 mph with higher
gusts are expected. Winds this strong can make driving
difficult... especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra
caution.
