Statement as of 7:44 am MST on February 11, 2012

... Freezing fog advisory in effect until 11 am MST this morning...

The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a freezing
fog advisory... which is in effect until 11 am MST this morning.

* Location... the eastern slopes of the Sangre de Cristo
Mountains... the east slopes and adjacent plains of the Central
Mountain chain... and over the east Central Plains.

* Timing... through mid morning.

* Visibility... below one quarter mile at times.

* Local impacts... mainly travel difficulties with roadways
becoming slick and icy in spots... particularly over elevated
surfaces and around culverts.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Stay tuned to NOAA Weather Radio... commercial radio or television
stations... or your cable television provider for the latest in
weather information.

Statement as of 5:42 am MST on February 11, 2012

... Poor visibilities in patchy dense freezing fog through sunrise...

Expect locally poor visibilities in freezing fog through sunrise...
with visibilities near zero at times... especially in valleys and
dips... over streams and culverts... and in shaded areas. Expect fog
across Interstate 40 from Clines Corners to the Texas line... or
from mile marker 220 to mile marker 370... and across Interstate 25
from Glorieta to Watrous... or from mile marker 300 to mile marker
370... and across Highway 60... highways 54 and 84... and Highway 70
in Roosevelt County. Freezing fog in contact with roads will produce
slick and icy spots in black ice conditions... especially on
bridges... over culverts... and in shaded areas. Expect lifting fog
and improving visibilities by mid morning.
