Winter Weather Advisory
Statement as of 10:14 am EST on January 7, 2009

... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until midnight EST
tonight...

A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until midnight EST
tonight.

Areas of freezing rain... mainly over the higher elevations... will
continue into this afternoon. A light coating of additional ice
accretion can be expected... bringing total ice accumulations into
the one quarter to four-tenths of an inch range. In many valley
locations... temperatures will be above freezing... with just plain
rain.

Later this afternoon and evening... precipitation will change to
snow... with accumulations of 1 to 3 inches possible.

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet... or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
very slippery roads and use caution while driving.
