The National Weather Service in Upton NY has issued an

* urban flood advisory for...
Fairfield County in southern Connecticut...
Middlesex County in southern Connecticut...
southeastern New Haven County in southern Connecticut...
southern New London County in southern Connecticut...
Suffolk County in southeast New York...
Nassau County in southeast New York...

* until 145 PM EST...

* at 1152 am... moderate to heavy rain will continue to move across
the advisory area through this afternoon. The combination of melting
snow in some spots and frozen ground will contribute to significant
runoff. This will result in flooding of the typical poor drainage
areas... highways... streets and underpasses as well as other low
lying spots.

Do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the
roadway. Most flooding deaths occur in automobiles. Turn around and
find another Route.

Excessive runoff from this storm will cause flooding of urban
areas... highways... streets and underpasses as well as other drainage
areas and low lying spots.

Be prepared to take action if the flooding threat increases... or a
warning is issued.
