Special Weather Statement
Statement as of 6:05 PM EST on February 10, 2012

... Snow expected tonight into Saturday...

A strong Arctic cold front will push southeast through the Great
Lakes and the Ohio River valley overnight. Light snow will
fall ahead of the front this evening... with the heaviest snow
occurring along the front. Snow accumulations of 1 to 2
inches... with isolated amounts up to 3 inches... are expected by
Saturday morning. Snow showers will continue on Saturday... but
additional accumulations will be light.

Winds will turn to the northwest tonight and will increase to 10
to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph. This will cause some blowing
and drifting of the snow. Rapidly falling temperatures will cause
any slushy roads to quickly freeze.

Travel difficulties are expected tonight into Saturday due to
snow and blowing snow... resulting in reduced visibilities and
slick spots on untreated roadways. Motorists are urged to allow
extra time to reach their destinations.
