Fire Weather Warning
Statement as of 1:50 PM PDT on August 8, 2008/

... Red flag warning remains in effect until 9 PM MDT /8 PM PDT/
this evening for the Burns and Vale blm which is also fire zones
636 and 637...

Moisture continues to move into the region this evening. As of yet
no thunderstorms have developed... but an upper disturbance
currently over the Oregon and California border continues to move
to the northeast scattered convection is expected to develop. Gusty
winds are expected in the vicinity of the convection. Most of the
rainfall will be limited to near the core of the storms... with
locally heavy rainfall possible.

A red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now... or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds... low relative humidity... and warm temperatures will
create explosive fire growth potential.
