The National Weather Service in Pendleton has issued a freeze
warning... which is in effect from midnight tonight to 9 am PDT
Friday.

* Late night and early morning temperatures will be in the upper
20s to lower 30s across most of central Oregon.

* Impacts: sub-freezing temperatures may cause damage to tender
vegetation and potted plants.


Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A freeze warning means sub-freezing temperatures are imminent or
highly likely. Those with agricultural interests in the warned
area are advised to harvest or protect tender vegetation. Also...
potted plants normally left outdoors should be covered or brought

Dry northwest flow will set in and skies will begin to clear
out Thursday night. Temperatures will be cool Thursday
afternoon. Strong radiational cooling will occur as skies clear
out Thursday night. Temperatures will drop below freezing across
much of central Oregon... and the mountains of northeast Oregon.
