Lake Effect Snow Watch
Statement as of 9:25 PM EST on November 19, 2008

... Lake effect snow watch remains in effect from Thursday
afternoon through late Friday night...

A lake effect snow watch remains in effect from Thursday
afternoon through late Friday night.

Light snow will spread into the area late tonight and early
Thursday as an Alberta clipper passes through the Great Lakes
region. Behind the system lake effect snow will develop Thursday
afternoon and evening. The snow will likely continue... heavy at
times through Friday night.

Snow accumulations will reach from 3 to 5 inches on Thursday with
4 to 8 inches possible Thursday night and Friday. The heaviest
will occur across the higher terrain and where bands persist. By
Saturday morning some areas could see between 1 and 2 feet of
snow from the system.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A lake effect snow watch means that significant winter weather is
possible in localized areas within the next 36 hours. Stay tuned
to NOAA Weather Radio and other radio and TV stations for further
details or updates.
