Statement as of 6:02 PM EDT on July 5, 2008

The National Weather Service in Wilmington NC has issued a

* flood advisory for...

western Horry County in northeast South Carolina
central Marion County in northeast South Carolina
eastern Florence County in northeast South Carolina

* until 800 PM EDT

* at 602 PM EDT... thunderstorms were redeveloping repeatedly across
portions of Florence... Marion... and Horry counties in northeast
South Carolina. Widespread one to two inches of rain have been
estimated by Doppler radar... with an additional one to two inches
possible through early this evening.

* Locations in the advisory include but are not limited to Aynor...
Pamplico... Galivants Ferry... Gresham and rains.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause elevated levels on
small creeks and streams... and ponding of water on country roads and
farmland along creeks and streams.

Wilmington NC... toll free at 877-633-6772... when you can do so
safely.
