... Wind Advisory remains in effect from 1 PM this afternoon to
1 am CDT Tuesday...

A Wind Advisory remains in effect from 1 PM this afternoon to
1 am CDT Tuesday.

* Timing... west to northwest winds will rapidly increase from west
to east between 100 PM CDT and 400 PM CDT. The strongest winds
are not expected to reach Storm Lake early evening. The
strongest winds across the area will be from approximately 4 PM
to 10 PM tonight. Then winds will gradually decrease in intensity.

* Weather conditions... very strong west to northwest winds of 25
to 35 mph with gusts to 50 mph are expected Monday afternoon
and Monday evening.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Wind Advisory is issued when sustained winds are forecast to be
31 to 39 mph or gusts will range between 46 and 57 mph. Winds of
these magnitudes may cause minor property damage without extra
precautions. Motorists in high profile vehicles should use
caution until the winds subside.
