A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 9 am MST Saturday.
* Timing... through mid-morning Saturday.
* Total snow accumulations... 3 to 6 inches can be expected over the lower elevations of Laramie and Platte counties. Locally up to 8 inches of snow will be possible over the southern Laramie range.
* Winds/visibilities... northeast to east winds 10 to 15 mph. Visibilities will be reduced to below one half mile at times within the heaviest snow bands.
* Impacts... travel will become hazardous due to snow creating slippery and snow covered roads. The worst travel conditions are likely between Cheyenne and the Interstate 80 Summit in the southern Laramie range.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered roads and limited visibilities... and use caution when approaching and driving over Railroad crossings.
